About College

Government College, Barotiwala came into existence through HP Govt. notification EDN -A- Kha (1)-1/2015 dated 29 May 2015. It became functioning on 10 June 2015 with the beginning of the academic session 2015-16.

The college was functioning at Government Senior Secondary School Barotiwala for almost 7 years. The new campus building was inaugurated in September 2022 by the then Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur in Buranwala, Barotiwala. The classes became functional from April 2023 at new building after inauguration of classes by Hon'ble CPS Sh. Ram Kumar Chaudhary.

Presently, the college provides education in Arts and Commerce streams with the help of well qualified, experienced and committed teaching staff. The programmes are being run in accordance with H.P. University, Shimla guidelines and directions of the state Government.
